Following the lead from the Takegawa DOHC bore kits, the single overhead cam, 4 valve +R Superhead was designed to take advantage of smaller individual valves which provide more efficient fuel delivery. The Takegawa SOHC 4V Superheads offer dual 21.5mm intake valves, and dual 18.5mm exhaust valves, combining larger overall valve area with the highest level of efficiency. The SOHC 4V Superhead is easier to install, maintain, and more affordable than the DOHC version.
